In this lesson, we will take a look at how to set up charts of accounts in built. Charts of accounts refer to the assets, liabilities, equity, incomes and expenses of a business.

In Built, you can create all of your charts of account first on the navigation pane of the dashboard.

Go to accounting, clicking on it will display two tabs; manage journal and charts of account. Click on charts of account, you will have a page which details assets, equity, expenses, income and liability. To create any account, first identify the main account that is whether it is an asset or a liability, an income, expense or equity. Next you will click on the sub account; for example, a bank account will fall under the assets group.

Specifically, we can find it under cash & bank we then see a display of the create accounts button at the extreme right, you can click on this and fill in the details to create a new bank or cash account.

This action successfully saves the new cash or bank account which we have just created.
