Hello viewers! Good day, and welcome to Built Financial Technologies. Thank you for joining me for today's tutorial session.

In today's video, I will take you through how to record journal entries on the Built platform.

To begin with, we click on accounting, which is located on the Built menu. You proceed by clicking on journals.

Journals in Built are basically used to record transactions that are not usually recorded with regular revenue and expense entries.

Built also recommends that only your company's accountant or bookkeeper creates journals or any experienced person who is capable of managing your general ledger should create journals.

To create a new journal, you click on +NEW.

You continue by entering some details that relate to the journal entry. These details include the date for the journal entry, the amount to be debited and the amount to be credited. The account to be debited should be the receiving account and the corresponding account to be credited should be the giving account.

Then you give a brief description of the transaction.

You can also add tags to this transaction by clicking on add tags.

When you're done, you click on save. That's how you record journal entries in Built.

Thank you for joining me for today's session.

Goodbye.
